Umbria Tango 

I warmly invite you to a special Tango week in the heart of Umbria, one of the most beautiful and authentic regions of Italy.

Our venue is the charming Agriturismo Poggiolo near Perugia – surrounded by rolling hills, olive trees, and breathtaking views. It is a peaceful and inspiring place, perfect for combining focused tango work with relaxation and holiday atmosphere.

The week is designed for dedicated dancers who want to deepen their technique, musicality, and personal expression – while also enjoying the beauty of Italy.

Umbria is often called “the green heart of Italy.” It is less crowded than Tuscany, very authentic, and full of charm. The combination of high-quality tango teaching, Mediterranean surroundings, and a small, personal group creates a very special experience.

The peaceful Mediterranean surroundings and the warm, family-style atmosphere of “Poggiolo” create the perfect setting for combining tango and holiday.

You can look forward to 2 hours of classes each day (including a 15-minute break) – clearly structured, highly personal, and with plenty of space for individual growth.

Each course is limited to 15 couples.
From 16 couples onward, the group will be divided and two parallel courses will take place.

Michael “El Gato” Nadtochi has been performing on professional tango stages for more than twenty years. His art is defined by remarkable musicality, technical precision, and a stage presence that inspires audiences worldwide. Whether in spectacular shows, his choreographies, or in teaching – Michael combines experience, passion, and a truly distinctive style.
He teaches and performs at international festivals and major tango events across the globe.

Elvira Lambo is a professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer with extensive stage experience. She studied a wide repertoire of dance styles. Her interest in tango was sparked in 2009 through contact improvisation, and since then she has developed her own expressive and unique style.

In their performances, they captivate audiences with elegant lines, precision, and a powerful artistic presence.

As teachers, Michael and Elvira impress with deep technical knowledge, a refined understanding of musical expression, and a high level of empathy. Their central aim is to guide each couple toward discovering their own personal expression in tango.

Rome is well connected with flights from the USA and is located about 200 km from Poggiolo. From Rome airport, there are train connections to Perugia, with a travel time of approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. From there, it is about 30 km to Poggiolo.

We will organize transfers from Perugia to the agriturismo for you. You will receive detailed information once I know your arrival time at the train station in Perugia.
